What's In A Nam?

This week is finally over. Finally. My body is completely exhausted. Two midterms, which I have no idea on how bad or well I did. A presentation that didn't flow very well. An interview, that I am pretty confident that I got into the second round. An eye exam where my prescription is the same, but apparently my eyes are dry and my left eye is irritated. A dental cleaning, where Diana, the dentist assistant, said she will help me out even if I do get this job and lose my benefits. And today, to add to my exhaustion, I played a three set match against this Asian guy I normally lose to. I beat him 2-6 6-1 6-1, so I am quite pleased with myself. And that was my exhausting week, so as a reward it is Spring Break. Good bye exhausting week, hello new one.

Ok today just rocks. I got a job interview for next Friday, this is so cool seeing how I just turned in my resume yesterday. On top of the interview, I got myself a new phone for free. Yah Nam, I am happy.

My decision to leave my City job my have changed in the recent development within City Hall. Sure I won't get married anytime soon, but knowing that the City of San Jose will extend my medical and retirements rights to my partner is a good argument to stay with the City. I don't want to stay but once again the benefits the City offers is just too great. Maybe I will search for a job within the City. Graduation is nearing and I should be looking for a job. All attempts have come up short. Decisions, decisions. I will leave this blog with two quotes, tell me who sounds more rational.

"I don't live my life in fear of my God," Gonzales said in response to a resident who compared California to Sodom, the ancient city that God destroyed for its wickedness. "I hope when I have the opportunity to meet my God ... he or she will say, 'Good job.'"

Larry Shoemaker quoted an Old Testament verse and brought a flashlight to council chambers because, he said, an earthquake and power outage would strike if the city recognized same-sex marriage. Shoemaker said he'd been fearing retribution since 1976, when he moved closer to "the fruits and nuts and freaks of San Jose."

So I haven't updated this blog in nearly a month, and I am currently at Val's place working on a group paper/powerpoint. But I have this urge to update but with what? Some events have occurred in this life of mine but is it worth mentioning? Since everyone calls me boy crazy I will talk about my boy life.

So I stopped talking to Joe, after making several attempts to try to get things in the open. If he isn't willing to talk then why should I bother. After Joe I thought I lay low on the whole dating scene but after Joe, Sean sent me a message. So we exchanged an email or two and exchanged our numbers. I have called him twice, once last night and once this afternoon. Both time I got his voice mail. So I am leaving the ball in his court. Today I messaged a hottie, and he actually responded. I was quite surprised my looks could attract such a man. He apparently seems to be rice queen and enjoys Vietnamese rice. Lucky me. So Roland, his name, and I chatted and it may seem like I may have a workout buddy as well as a personal trainer. But a personal trainer at a price, but a price I am willing to pay. And lets say this price doesn't involve any monetary value. Hehe. So I gave Roland my number and hopefully he will call me when he gets back from LA. So that is my current love life. Exciting to you or not, I am happy.
